Crumb Topping
1/2 cup butter diced cold
1 cup light brown sugar
1 tablespoons cinnamon
1 tablespoon nutmeg
1 cup all purpose flour
White Chocolate Drizzle
1/2 cup of white chocolate chips
1/2 cup of heavy whipping cream
Coffee Cake
1 cup butter, room temperature
3/4 cup granulated sugar
1 cup brown sugar
2 eggs, and 1 egg yolk
1 tablespoon vanilla extract
1 teaspoon salt
3 teaspoons baking powder
1 cup of milk
1 cup of sour cream
3 3/4 cup all purpose flour
1 cup of chopped white chocolate
Directions: Crumble Topping: Mix together flour, butter, sugar, and spices into a crumbly texture. The mixture should not fully mix, but instead because a very dry dough like texture. Place in the freezer to chill while preparing the rest of the recipe. Coffee Cake: Mix together milk, sour cream, sugar, butter and vanilla in a medium size bowl. After it comes together, gently mix in eggs. Do not over mix. In a separate bowl whisk together flour, salt, and baking powder. Gently fold the dry ingredients into the wet, without over mixing them. Place half of the batter in your desire baking dish. Sprinkle a layer of chopped white chocolate on top. Pour the other half of the batter inside. Place in the over at 350 degrees for 40 minutes or until a toothpick comes out clean.
White Chocolate Drizzle: warm up the heavy cream in the microwave for 1 minute. Pour white chocolate into warm cream. Carefully mix until it is completely smooth. Allow too cool for 10 minutes. Pour into a plastic, or pipping bag. Drizzle over Coffee Cake.
